Questions
Is the readiness test really free?+
Yes. No credit card and no account. You see your overall score right away. If you want the breakdown by area and your study plan, we ask for your email so we can send it to you.
How accurate is the readiness score?+
It is an estimate of your readiness, not a prediction of your result. It is based on 25 questions weighted by the NCLEX-RN test plan, so it tells you where you stand and what to study first. Our full mock exams use more questions and adapt to your level, which gives a better estimate.
Are these real NCLEX questions?+
No. Nobody outside NCSBN has real NCLEX questions. Every question here is original, written to follow the published NCLEX-RN test plan and the Next Generation NCLEX item formats.
I failed the NCLEX before. Is this for me?+
Yes. The test shows which areas pulled your score down, and the study plan puts most of your time there. Access lasts 12 months, which covers the 45-day wait and a second attempt.
I trained outside the US. Does it work for me?+
Yes. The questions use plain English and US nursing practice, units and lab values, which is what the NCLEX tests. Many international nurses lose points on US-specific practice, and the test helps you find those gaps.
Do I need to install an app?+
No. It works in the browser on any phone, tablet or computer, and it is built to load fast on mobile data.
Is it a subscription?+
No. It is a one-time payment for 12 months of access. Nothing renews and you will never be charged again.
What if it's not for me?+
Email support@nclexfirsttry.com within 7 days of your purchase and we will refund you in full. No questions asked.
Are you connected to NCSBN?+
No. NCLEX First Try is an independent study tool. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by NCSBN.
